Ray Lowery was born in Washington State on April the 8th, 1938, but grew up in Texas. He comes from a large family with three brothers and five sisters. He has been happily married to Doris for thirty three years and they have seven children, twenty grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
He came to know the Lord at a very young age and felt the call to the ministry as a young man. He was an assistant pastor in a church in Idaho and then later was a pastor of a Church in Washington state. In 1989 he felt led to move to Alabama. The Church he now pastors was the first one he and his family vistited in Alabama. Immediately they felt the love of the people and felt drawn to them. Shortly thereafter, he became their pastor. They did not have a pastor at the time and had been praying for one. He has now been their pastor for over fouteen years. He loves the Lord and he loves the people and truly has the heart of a shepherd. The trials & experiences he & his wife have gone thru helps him to understand what others go through. When he stands before the Lord, his desire is to hear the Lord say, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant."
